A small start May 23, 2007

A small start…..that began with grasping at the essences of Feng Shui and Space Clearing, shifting to Dr. Deepak Chopra’s ‘Perfect Weight’…….ascending to Swami Rama’s ‘Living with the Himalayan Masters’……and currently floating about his ‘Science of breath’……
It has been a momentous year, full of reverberating possibilities to find true bliss in life. I am finding myself living in more tune with my environment and with the Voice within.
On a short note….what is the significance of this title…..I am borrowing Wikipedia’s definitions….
In Hinduism and Jainism, a jiva is the immortal essence of a living being, subject to maya. A jiva that is free of maya, i.e. is not tied to a body or earthly existence in any way, is called ãtmã.
I hope I shall be graced with abundant blessings to tread this path with a sure and steady footing.
I have recently been reading on Taoism. All the meek qualities that i used-to-have/right-now-somewhat-have, came to be pleasantly-surprisingly good qualities in Tao, so it makes it so much easier.
Hurting others, humility, compassion, are all deeply rooted in Taoism. In this present materialistic, leadership-dominated world, meekness and humility is sometimes considered self-damaging and one-upsmanship, being treated according to how you dress up in parties, etc.. left me feeling a little inferior, intimidated, etc. And it was like almost Tao opened my eyes and has again forced me to look inwards and how you treat people, instead of blatantly dressing up your house and self and kids. sometimes you are caught up in things and Tao has made me go back to evaluating important things in your life. And Tao has empowered me so much. That i am smiling when i am in silent companies in the party, no one upsmanship, i dont feel the need for talking just to be part of the party gang. Am having a lot of fun,. If you have not already done so, please look at taoism.net. My interest in Tao was piqued by inagardencalledlife.blogspot.com, he has a blog og Tao and so i was just curious more than anything else. And its just been 2 weeks that i’ve been reading upon it. So am pretty new myself. Take Care
Beautiful!
Wishing you the best on this journey!
